The City of Douglas is taking applications for two (2) vacancies on the Federal Aid to Urban Systems Board (FAU) for four (4) year terms beginning in January 2019. Applications are available at the office of the City Clerk, 101 N. 4th Street, Douglas, Wyoming, or obtained from the City’s website under the "Boards and Commissions" page, and will be accepted until filled. Appointments will be made as soon as possible thereafter at a regular City Council meeting. The Federal Aid to Urban Systems Board (FAU) meets once annually in March and is a county-wide board charged with development of priorities for improvement of arterial and collector routes within the County FAU boundaries. The FAU System provides funding for these improvements to the community. The funds may be used on any road or street that is on the approved FAU System. Routes on the FAU System are selected by local officials with the concurrence of the Wyoming Department of Transportation. The funds are provided at a 90.49% federal aid match and a 9.51% local match. For more information, call 307-358-3462 and speak to Karen Rimmer, City Clerk.
