Notice is hereby given that the City of Douglas will receive sealed bids for the Douglas Landfill Closure Project. Bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, at Douglas City Hall, 101 North 4th Street, Douglas, WY 82633, until 2:00 p.m. (local time), July 20, 2017, at which time and place said bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. The improvement shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following major construction items: Major earthwork including onsite borrow excavation, soil compaction, grading, placing topsoil, fencing, and dryland seeding.

Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security, made payable to City of Douglas for five percent of the total amount of the bid. Bid security shall be in the form Bid Bond. If contract is awarded, bidder shall deliver with the executed Contract Documents the Contract Security Performance and Payment Bonds as specified in the Instructions to Bidders (Article 20), General Conditions (Paragraph 5.01), and Supplementary Conditions (Paragraph SC 5.01).
Special Requirements:
The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional Bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Work, as prescribed in the Bidding Documents. To perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors, prior to contract award, shall hold or obtain such licenses as required by State Statutes, federal and local laws, and regulations.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 11, 2017, at Douglas City Hall, 101 North 4th Street, Douglas, Wyoming. All bidders are recommended to attend. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids; to waive informalities; and to accept the bid that is in the best interests of the City of Douglas. Pursuant to W.S. 16-6-106, "preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state".
