City Administrator
Meet Jonathan Teichert, the Douglas City Administrator. Jonathan is a Wyoming native and has extensive experience working with local and state governments and community organizations. He understands Wyoming and the various industries that make Wyoming so unique: energy, tourism, agriculture, and most importantly, the people who call Wyoming home. Jonathan and his family came to Douglas from Afton, Wyoming, where he served as their City Administrator. He also has a strong finance, planning, engineering, and economic development background. He received his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming in 2003, and holds various other degrees as well. He and his family love Wyoming and Douglas, and are excited to call Douglas home. With his proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work effectively with a variety of conflicting or competing interests through consensus building, Jonathan is prepared to guide Douglas through these exciting and demanding times.
Duties
The City Administrator is charged with implementing all laws ordinances and policies as established by the City Council. Through this office citizens can get information on City Council issues, report a concern, or request information.
Oversight
The City Administrator is responsible for providing overall supervision for all city departments including:
- Public Works and Utilities
- Police Department
- City Clerk
- Community Development
- Finance and Administration
