Community Development

The City is excited to announce that all Planning & Development related permits and applications will now be processed through CityWorks.

As of Monday, August 11, 2025, all permits and applications must be submitted via the CityWorks Public Portal.

To create a public account in Cityworks 12, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Cityworks Public Access website:
  2. Locate and click the "Sign Up" button:
    • Once on the Public Access login page, look for the "Sign Up" button, often located near or above the "Username" and "Password" fields.
  3. Provide required information:
    • You'll be prompted to enter your credentials and contact information, including a valid email address that will be used for verification.
    • The email address you enter will typically serve as your username for logging in.
    • Ensure you provide valid contact information, as this may be used for communication by the organization.
  4. Account verification and activation:
    • You will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account.
    • Click the link in the email to activate your account and proceed to the login page.
    • If you don't receive the email, check your spam or junk folder.
  5. Log in to your new account:
    • Once your account is activated, return to the Public Access login page.
    • Enter the email address and password you chose during registration to log in to your account. 
  6. Important notes:
    • Some organizations may require manual account approval by a system administrator.
    • If the organization has enabled automatic registration, you can use the account immediately after activation.
    • If you are a contractor, you may need to register separately after creating your login.
    • Contractors must ensure the email for their account matches the email provided for their contractor license.
    • For additional assistance or specific instructions, refer to the website or documentation of the Cityworks Public Access portal you are using, or contact the relevant Cityworks support or administration team.
