Converse County Tourism Promotion Board
Converse County Tourism Promotion Joint Powers Board The Converse Tourism Promotion Joint Powers Board administers and allocates the Converse County Lodging Tax revenue promoting events, activities and the county. Membership is comprised of nine members. Representatives are selected by the Converse County Commissioners (3), the City of Douglas (3) and the Town of Glenrock (2) and At-Large (1). The majority of members are to be from the travel, tourism and lodging industry. Members serve three-year terms.

The Arts & Culture Board of Trustees acts on behalf of the entire community to support arts and culture activities, events, facilities, and programs through the development of a long-term, sustainable public-arts program within the City of Douglas.

Urban Renewal Agency
The City of Douglas is now accepting applications for membership on the Urban Renewal Agency (URA). This new public body will consist of five members appointed by the City Council to help guide the City’s redevelopment and revitalization efforts. Members will be selected based on their experience or interest in community planning, urban renewal, economic development, or business management. The board plays a key role in identifying areas in need of reinvestment, working with developers, and helping the City carry out long-term renewal projects that enhance infrastructure, housing, and economic growth.
