Arts & Culture Board of Trustees
The City of Douglas is excited to announce the creation of the Arts & Culture Board of Trustees! This group of creatively inspired individuals is comprised of seven members. Board members are a diverse group of individuals with experience in visual arts, performing arts, arts education, curation, architecture, design, and landscape. Membership includes at least one working artist, arts administrator, or cultural historian, and at least one member with direct experience or knowledge of public art installation and maintenance.
The Arts & Culture Board of Trustees (ACBT) acts on behalf of the entire community to support arts and culture activities, events, facilities, and programs through the development of a long-term, sustainable public art program within the City of Douglas. Wind Phone Project
The Wind Phone will be located at the Veterans Memorial Walkway at Yellowstone and West Center Street (old entrance to the Wyoming State Fair Grounds).
A Wind Phone is a quiet place to reflect and communicate with your loved ones. They are typically an old-fashioned style phone located in a natural setting. The telephone is not physically connected to service; rather, the communication comes from your heart.
Art is due March 23 by 5:00pm.
Deliver art to the Community Development Department at City Hall or email art to arts@cityofdouglas.org.
